Enrollment for 2024-2025

We still have openings in Preschool and K-8. Please encourage families interested in our school to contact either Mr. Klatt (rklatt@salemlutheran.org) for K-8 students or Mrs. Grobe (jgrobe@salemlutheran.org)  for preschool students. Families interested in our school are also encouraged to sign up for a tour on our website.

Washington DC Trip

Fourteen 7th and 8th grade students, their chaperones, and Mr. Bredendick flew to Washington DC and were there from May 16th to May 19th. Mr. Bredendick who has organized many Washington DC trips for his previous schools offered to start this opportunity for our students at Salem. He uses a Christian tour company that emphasizes the blessings our Lord has bestowed on this great nation. One of the trip’s highlights was the laying of a wreath by Salem students in Arlington National Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Other highlights were the Holocaust Museum, the Museum of the Bible, the National Archives, and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial. They walked over 30 miles in four days. We hope to continue to offer this trip every other year for our 7th and 8th-grade students. We pray it will be a memorable, life-changing experience for years to come.

Graduation

We enjoyed a wonderful evening worship service with the children singing “The Word of the Lord”. Hearing our kids and staff fill the sanctuary with beautiful music during this service was a faith-filled celebration to end the year. All enjoyed the meal and fellowship while awards were given. Thank you to all who contributed to making this a great ending to a great year!

We say goodbye to all our 8th graders! May God bless and keep you. We pray you continue to follow Him as you leave our halls and start a new chapter:

Dylan Anderson, Isaac Anderson, Everett Bye, Adeline Easton, McKenna Goplen, Hayden Hare,  Jack Onken, Sarah Wurst

Referral Program

The school board approved a program that gave an incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family with children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they referred. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

The cash received goes directly to support Ronald McDonald House. They can be dropped off in the bin at the entrance to the school.

Prayer

One way we forget we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
