Lenten Season Begins this Week

We invite you and your family to join us for a season of reflection, renewal, and community as we prepare our hearts for Easter. This year, our midweek Lenten devotions are anchored in Psalm 51, guiding us to confront the realities of sin, the brokenness in our relationship with God, and our urgent need for His mercy. As we reflect on our failures, we also celebrate the greater truth: our Savior Jesus restores us as God’s beloved children through His sacrifice.
This week, we begin with Ash Wednesday. This can be an incredibly powerful service for kids to experience. The practice of placing ashes on the forehead is a long-standing Christian tradition that serves as a visible reminder of our sin and need for a Savior. The tactile experience of receiving ashes makes a lasting impression—kids love the feeling and texture, and it gives them a hands-on way to engage with the meaning of the season.
Over the next 6 weeks, we’ll worship every Wednesday with services at 4 pm and 6:30 pm with a free dinner between services (This week is pulled pork sandwiches). We invite you to worship, reflect, and connect with our Salem family this Lent. Come be renewed through God’s Word, strengthened in worship, and encouraged in fellowship.
We look forward to walking this Lenten journey with you!
