Enrollment for 2025-2026
Please share the wonderful blessing of Christian education at Salem with others and have them sign up on our website for a tour. Our current school families are re-enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration fees will increase to $175 for preschool and $275 for K-8 as of March 1. If you have not reenrolled yet, please do so now! Registration fees will not be charged until late March or early April when we will have a new tuition system ready. We plan to use Blackbaud for both financial aid and tuition payments in the coming year. This should help streamline our financial process for the office and benefit our families too!
Before and After School/ Lunch Payments
If you use before or after-school care, please make sure to go to your Gradelink account and make payments monthly. Since Gradelink does not send reminders, we appreciate you checking and making payments to keep your account current. BASC charges will not get rolled into any auto-pay plan that you may have been set up for tuition, so they need to be paid separately. This also applies to any extra milk purchases that may have been made. Please check your lunch charges and pay these monthly as well. Thank you!
Order Yearbooks Now
If you would like a 2024-2025 Salem School Yearbook, please go to inter-state.com/order and use order code 91461Z. Orders can be made until Friday, March 7. Yearbooks are $18 and will arrive in May.
Mr. and Mrs. Dorn Returned Calls
The Dorns returned the call to teach at First Lutheran School/First Light Learning Center in La Crosse, WI. We are so happy to have them continue their ministries here at Salem, and we pray that the Lord blesses First Lutheran with workers to fill its open positions.
Mrs. Hansen Received a Call
Mrs. Hansen received a call to teach 1st grade at Risen Savior Academy in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Please keep her and her family in your prayers as she deliberates this call to determine where she can best serve, here at Salem or Risen Savior Academy.
March 6 – Education Night
On March 6th, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Salem will be having its annual Education Night. This night is a time when we focus on one of the subjects we teach at Salem and invite families into the school to see projects and activities the students have done. This year the classrooms will have activities and projects focused on Fine Arts. Our students will present art styles from many different artists in the hallways and perform a concert of Disney songs at 6:15 pm in the school gym. Please plan to join us right away at 5:30 pm so you have time to view the artwork before the concert. You won’t want to miss this!
Please note! Any students who want to have artwork they made at home displayed must bring it to school by March 3rd. This was optional and not required.
March 10 – 14 – Spring Break
School will not be in session the week of March 10 for Spring Break. The school office will be closed that week as well.
March 21 – 31 – No Bus
There will not be any bus service from Friday, March 21st through Monday, March 31st. Please make sure you have transportation arrangements for your child during that time.
Sports Update
Basketball finished their season by winning the Consolation championship in our league tournament.
We are currently in between our winter and spring sports seasons. Bowling will begin March 25 for middle school-age students. Practices will be at Stillwater Bowl on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 5:15 p.m. Track and Field will start in mid-April. Practices will be at Salem until 5:00 p.m., with a few at SCLA until 6:00 p.m.
We are still looking for assistant Bowling coaches and Head and Assistant Track Coaches. If you are interested in helping in either of those positions, please email Tom Stob (tstob@salemlutheran.org).

Referral Program
The school board approved a program that gave an incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family who has children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they have referred. A church family who refers a new family will receive a $200 script gift card at Christmas per family if they so choose. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have any more questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

We Are Also Collecting Aluminum Cans and Pop Tabs
Aluminum cans benefit our athletic program. They can be bagged up and placed in the wooden bin next to the garage facing Panama Ave. (I’m sorry this is hard to find. We have had cans stolen, so we keep them hidden.) We will continue to support the Ronald McDonald House by participating in the Pop Tab program. The cash received goes directly to support Ronald McDonald House. Cans can also be dropped off in the bin at the entrance to the school.
Prayer
One way we usually forget about how we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
