Enrollment for 2024-2025

Please encourage families interested in our school to contact either Mr. Klatt (rklatt@salemlutheran.org) for K-8 students or Mrs. Grobe (jgrobe@salemlutheran.org) for preschool students. Families interested in our school are also encouraged to sign up for a tour on our website!

Sports Update

Bowling and Track have begun! Bowling is off to a great start with a win in their first match. The students are very excited about the season, and we pray they can continue their success and learning of the game.  The coaches are Ross Collins and Jessie Wolfe.

Track is also going well. The team has one meet at St. Croix on May 3rd. The students are practicing at Salem and St. Croix. This will be helpful as they will be comfortable with the track they will be performing on at the meet.

Preschool Play – May 9 @ 6:00 pm

The Preschool spring play on May 9th is titled “Friendly Community Helpers”. Please plan to attend this musical that tells us about the helpful people who serve us in our community. This free performance will be held in our school gym at 6:00 pm. Hope to see you there!

Washington DC Trip

Fourteen 7th and 8th grade students, their chaperones, and Mr. Bredendick are flying to Washington DC and will be there from May 16th – May 19th. Mr. Bredendick who has organized many Washington DC trips for his previous schools, offered to start this opportunity for our students at Salem. We hope to continue offering this trip every other year so the 7th and 8th-grade students can experience all the awesome educational sites and history there. May God bless and keep them during their travels!

5th-8th Grade Play – May 21 @ 6:00 pm

The middle school students have been working hard to prepare “The Adventures of a Comic Book Artist”. Please plan to attend this fun musical! The performance will be held at St. Croix Lutheran Academy, costing $5 per adult/ $3 per student. Stop in the school office or reserve your tickets here:

Referral Program

The School Board approved a program that gives the incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family who has children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they referred. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have any more questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

Aluminum cans benefit our athletic program and can be bagged up and placed in the wooden bin next to the garage facing Panama Ave. We will continue to support The Ronald McDonald House by participating in the Pop Tab program. The cash received goes directly to support Ronald McDonald House. They can be dropped off in the bin at the entrance to the school.

Prayer

One way we forget we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
