JAM stands for Jesus and Me- a small-group Sunday school experience where every child is known by name.

Looking for a Sunday school near Stillwater, MN where your child won’t just be another face in the crowd? Sunday JAM is Salem Lutheran’s children’s ministry for kids age 3 through 6th grade, meeting every Sunday from 9:15–10:15 AM. Families come for a faith community that feels like family – small enough that teachers and leaders truly know your child, big enough for real friendships to grow.

A close-knit learning experience for every child

Sunday JAM starts together with a large-group Bible lesson in the 1st grade classroom. From there, kids move into small, hands-on breakout groups built around how kids actually learn best- moving and making, hearing and speaking, and seeing and showing. Rather than splitting kids strictly by age, we mix ages together in these small groups, so older kids grow as leaders and younger kids learn by watching and joining in. It’s this small-group structure that makes Sunday JAM feel so personal. Each week wraps up together in the gym.

Ministry for the whole family

Faith doesn’t stop when Sunday morning ends. Once a month, parents are invited to a Parenting Growth Group, previewing the month’s Bible stories and offering simple, practical ways to carry the message home. It’s also a built-in chance to connect with other Salem families, because Sunday JAM is really about your family and about building a church family together.

Sunday JAM is for everybody! You do not have to be a member to come. While registration is not required, we’d love to know your family is coming and get you on our mailing list for special events and opportunities! Sunday JAM kicks off on September 15th starts in the 1st grade classroom at 9:15 AM and wraps up in the gym at 10:15 AM.

Want to help?

Sunday JAM runs on volunteers serving about once a month during the school year. We’re looking for:

• Main Teachers (“Heroes”) — lead the large-group lesson
• Station Leaders — run a breakout station and guide kids through the activity
• Station Prep — set up materials and supplies ahead of time
