Teach Me, Spirit of God

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do what pleases you, because you are my God. Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

What a great reminder in this week after Pentecost! God sent his Holy Spirit for the benefit of his church. With the psalmist, our prayer is that we will do the right thing. We want to please God, because he is ours. There's no one else like him in the universe!

In order to do the right thing, we need help. So we call on his "good" Spirit. He's not evil. He isn't here to make our life miserable. He wants us to walk on the level ground of the Word. He leads us through the Word and shows us how to please our God. Follow his lead!
